  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • butter - 1 c
  • eggs, separated - 4 item
  • egg yolks - 4 item
  • coconut - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • hot water - 1/2 c
  • pecans - 1 c
  • Cool
  • white chocolate - 1/4 lb

How to make white chocolate cake:

Melt chocolate in hot water. Cool. Cream butter and sugar. Mix in 4 egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add chocolate mixture and vanilla. Sift flour, soda and salt. Add alternately with buttermilk. Fold in 4 stiffly beaten egg whites. Gently stir in pecans and coconut. Bake 25 to 30 minutes in a 350° oven. Makes 3 layers.Frosting:1 c. condensed milk1 c. sugar4 Tbsp. butter4 egg yolks1 tsp. vanilla Stir milk, sugar and butter together. Bring to a boil. Slowly add egg yolks and vanilla. Cook about 15 minutes on low heat. Beat until smooth and creamy. Spread on layers.
