Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- egg whites - 6 item
- Crisco - 1 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- almond flavoring - 1 tsp
- sweet milk - 1 c
- Swans Down flour - 3 c
- Add egg whites one at a time
How to make white cake:
Cream Crisco and sugar; add vanilla and almond flavoring. Add egg whites one at a time. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes in two 9-inch round pans lined with waxed paper, greased and floured. Ice with One Minute Chocolate Icing.One Minute Chocolate Icing:2 c. sugar1/2 c. milk1/2 c. margarine1/2 c. cocoa Mix all ingredients. Boil one minute; cool. Beat until creamy.
