Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 4 tsp
- flour - 12 c
- warm water - 1/2 c
- soft shortening - 4 Tbsp
- dry yeast - 2 pkg
- warm milk - 4 c
How to make white bread:
Soak yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Let stand 5 minutes. Put sugar and salt in pan, then add warm milk and soft shortening. Then add yeast and stir. Add 6 cups flour and mix well, then add remaining flour. Knead 6 or 7 minutes by hand. Let rise. WorkRecipe categories: Breads, Grains, Yeast breads.
