Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- Crisco - 1/4 c
- warm water - 1 c
- yeast - 4 Tbsp
- flour to stiffen - 1 item
How to make white bread:
Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water and let set for 5 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients. Turn onto floured cloth or surface and let rise 10 minutes. Knead, adding flour as needed. Let raise in greased bowl, covered, until doubled. Pan out 4 loaves. Raise. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Grains, Yeast breads.
