Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 item
- flour - 6 c
- pepper - 1 item
- garlic salt - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1 item
- hamburger - 1 lb
- season salt - 1 item
- shortening or 1 stick oleo - 1/2 c
- yeast packets - 2 item
- Hot Rolls - 1 item
- Drain well and season with salt, garlic salt, season salt and pepper
How to make western burgers:
Brown hamburger and onion. Drain well and season with salt, garlic salt, season salt and pepper. Set aside. Make a recipe for "Hot Rolls" and let rise. Knead and roll flat. Make a 6-inch circle. Put mustard, shredded cheese and 1 heaping tablespoonful of meat mixture on the circle. Fold dough over to enclose ingredients in dough. Put closed side down in oil. Put a dab of oil on top of roll. Let rise. Cook at 400° until done.Hot Rolls:2 c. water1/2 c. shortening or 1 stick oleo2 eggs1 1/2 tsp. salt6 c. flour1/2 c. sugar2 yeast packets Mix sugar, oleo and salt. Pour 1 cup boiling water over it and let set until lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water and add to sugar mixture. Add beaten eggs. Add 3 cups flour and beat with mixer.
