  • margarine - 3/4 c
  • vanilla instant pudding - 1 pkg
  • chocolate instant pudding - 1 pkg

How to make watergate dessert:

Crust:1 1/3 c. flour3/4 c. chopped nuts3/4 c. margarine Mix Crust ingredients and pat in 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool.

Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar and beat together until soft. Fold in 1/3 of 8 ounce Cool Whip and spread over crust. Beat the chocolate and vanilla pudding, adding 3 cups milk and mix until set. Gently spread over cheese mixture. Top with rest of Cool Whip. Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate shavings. Refrigerate several hours before serving.
