Ingredients/Components
- cans whole water chestnuts - 4 item
- bacon
- Secure with rounded toothpick
- prepared mustard - 1 c
- dark brown sugar - 2 c
- onion powder - 1 Tbsp
How to make water chestnuts wrapped in bacon:
Drain water from water chestnuts; wrap 1 slice of bacon around 1 chestnut. Secure with rounded toothpick. Place on cookie sheet. Continue until bacon is finished. Bake in 425° oven.Sauce:3/4 bottle ketchup1 c. prepared mustard2 c. dark brown sugar1 Tbsp. onion powder Mix ingredients together in a bowl. Use a basting brush to brush sauce over water chestnuts and bacon on each side for 10 minutes before they're done. Use additional sauce as a dip.
