Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- stalks celery - 3 item
- walnuts - 1 c
- apples - 3 item
- flour or cornstarch - 1/4 c
How to make waldorf salad:
Sauce:1 c. sugar1 egg, beaten1/2 c. water1/2 c. vinegar1/4 c. flour or cornstarch Chop apples, celery and walnuts. Set aside. Mix sugar and flour; add egg, water and vinegar. Cook over medium heat until thickened (about the consistency of mayonnaise). Let stand until cool and pour over fruit mixture; fold until well mixed.Recipe categories: American, Salads, Vegetables.
