Waldorf salad
Ingredients/Components
- to 4 medium sized tart apples 2 red, 2 green; skin on - 3 item
- chopped onion - 1 c
- lemon juice or orange juice - 4 6
- chopped celery - 1 c
- golden raisins - 1 c
- canned pineapple tidbits, drained - 1 c
- walnuts optional - 3/4 c
- yogurt, sour cream or mayonnaise can use a combination of mayo and sour cream
- honey or to taste - 1 Tbsp
- or more crumbled Bleu cheese - 1/2 c
How to make waldorf salad:
Dressing:1 c. yogurt, sour cream or mayonnaise (can use a combination of mayo and sour cream)1 Tbsp. honey or to taste1/2 c. or more crumbled Bleu cheese Combine all salad ingredients. Stir together dressing ingredients in a separate bowl. Pour dressing over salad mixture and gently mix.
