- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 2 c
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- egg - 1 item
- nuts - 1 c
- powdered sugar
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- chocolate - 4 sq
- sweet milk
- eggs, beaten together - 2 item
How to make waldorf-astoria chocolate cake:
Chocolate Frosting:1/4 c. butter2 sq. chocolate1 1/3 c. powdered sugar1 egg1 tsp. lemon juice1 tsp. vanilla1 c. nuts pinch of salt Cake: Cream the butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Add melted chocolate. Mix dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Mix alternately with milk. Add nuts and bake 45 minutes at 350° in a loaf pan.Chocolate Frosting: Mix each ingredient into powdered sugar gradually. Blend well. Spread on cake.
