- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- sifted flour - 1 c
- cooked or canned apple slices - 2 c
How to make virginia apple pudding:
Melt butter in 2-quart casserole. Combine next 6 ingredients to make batter. Pour on butter. Drain apples; pile in center of batter. Bake in moderate (375°) oven until batter covers fruit and crust browns, 30 to 40 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pies and tarts, Puddings and mousses.
