Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- paprika - 1 item
- freshly ground pepper - 1/2 tsp
- shredded sharp Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- heavy sour cream - 1 c
- Vidalia onions, sliced and separated - 1 lb
How to make vidalia onion casserole:
In medium saucepan combine onions with water to cover. Bring to a boil; boil 1 minute. Drain well. Transfer to 8-inch square baking dish. In bowl, combine egg, cream, salt and pepper. Pour over onions. Sprinkle with cheese, then paprika. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
