  • milk - 1/2 3/4
  • stick margarine - 1/2 item
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • can mushrooms - 1 item
  • shredded cheese - 1 2
  • to 4 big onions, sliced - 3 item
  • to 25 crushed saltines - 20 item

How to make vidalia onion casserole:

Melt margarine in large frying pan. Saute onions over medium heat until clear. Reserve some cracker crumbs for the top, but put 1/2 in the bottom of greased 2-quart casserole dish. Remove onions from pan, drain. Put into dish. Layer onions, then soup, until all gone, then pour milk and egg mixture over top. Put remaining crackers on top. Top with cheese.
