Very lemon bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 3 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- nuts, chopped - 1/2 c
- lemon juice
- grated lemon rind
- lemon extract - 3 Tbsp
How to make very lemon bread:
Lemon Topping:1/4 c. lemon juice1/2 c. sugar Bread: Cream together butter, sugar, lemon extract and rind. Beat in eggs. Sift together dry ingredients and alternate adding with milk and with nuts. Bake in greased, floured loaf pan at 350° for 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes in pan.Combine topping ingredients. Prick holes in cake top with fork and pour slowly into holes and cracks formed while baking. Cool, wrap in foil and chill 24 hours. Enjoy!
