Ingredients/Components

  • ground venison - 2 lbs
  • mild pork sausage - 1/4 lb
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • small green pepper, seeded and chopped - 1 item
  • can 6-oz tomato paste - 1 item
  • ribs celery, chopped - 3 item
  • dry red wine - 1/4 c
  • dried thyme, crumbled - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • chili sauce - 1/4 c
  • butter, melted - 2 tsp
  • dry bread crumbs - 1 c
  • Salt and Pepper to taste - 1 item

How to make venison meatloaf:

Preheat oven to 400°. In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Place mixture in well-greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch casserole dish. Bake 1 hour, 15 minutes.
