Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- flour
- butter - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 1/2 c
- egg yolks - 4 item
- cold water - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- egg whites - 4 item
- almonds, blanched and shredded - 1/2 c
How to make velvet cake:
Cream the butter. Add sugar gradually, yolk of eggs well beaten and water. Mix and sift flour, cornstarch and baking powder. Add to first mixture. Then add whites of eggs beaten until stiff. After putting in pan, cover with almonds and sprinkle withRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
