Vegetarian chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- brown sugar, packed - 1/2 c
- plain yogurt - 1 c
- shortening part butter or margarine - 2/3 c
How to make vegetarian chocolate chip cookies:
Heat oven to 375°. Mix shortening, sugars, yogurt and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. (For a softer, more rounded cookie, add 1/4 cup more flour.) Stir dry ingredients together; blend in. Mix in chocolate chips. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until delicately browned. (Cookies should still be soft.) Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
