- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- mushrooms - 1/3 c
- onion - 1/3 c
- peas - 1/3 c
- celery - 1/3 c
- cabbage - 1/3 c
- carrot - 1/3 c
- corn - 1/3 c
- large bay leaf - 1 item
- sweet potatoes - 1/3 c
- large can tomatoes - 1 item
- turnip - 1/3 c
- enough water to cover - 1 item
- white potatoes - 1/3 c
- green or sweet red peppers - 1/3 c
- green or wax beans - 1/3 c
How to make vegetable stew:
Brown beef very well. Dice and chop all veggies finely. Put everything in a 4 to 6-quart pot. Cover and simmer 2 to 3 hours.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Main dish, Stew.
