Ingredients/Components

  • fresh dill, chopped - 1/2 c
  • fresh parsley, chopped - 1/2 c
  • finely chopped celery - 2 c
  • green peppers, chopped fine - 2 item
  • onions, chopped - 2 item
  • tomatoes, chopped - 2 item
  • carrots, diced - 4 item
  • green beans, cut - 1/2 lb
  • water - 2 qt
  • salt - 1 Tbsp
  • white pepper - 1/2 tsp

How to make vegetable soup:

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepot. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to simmer. Simmer for 1 hour or until vegetables are tender. Correct seasonings. Serve hot. Makes 8 servings.

Note: This soup can be used with matzoh balls and can simmer for up to 2 hours.
