Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • water - 2 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • onion, chopped - 1/2 c
  • celery, diced - 1/2 c
  • carrots, sliced - 1/2 c
  • potatoes, diced - 1 c
  • cabbage, chopped - 1 c
  • marjoram leaves - 1/4 tsp
  • frozen green beans - 1/2 c
  • oregano leaves - 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 of 16 oz - 1 c

How to make vegetable soup:

Place all ingredients, except tomatoes, in saucepan. Cover and boil gently for 10 minutes. Break up tomatoes. Add to vegetable mixture and continue cooking until vegetables are tender, about 20 minutes. Remove bay leaf before serving. Makes 4 servings (about 1 cup each).
