Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 1 Tbsp
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 3/4 c
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • chopped green pepper - 1 item
  • black pepper - 1 tsp
  • can French-style green beans - 1 item
  • small jar pimientos - 1 item
  • bunch spring onions, chopped - 1 item
  • can LeSueur green peas - 1 item
  • can Shoepeg white corn - 1 item

How to make vegetable salad:

Mix the first 6 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Put the remaining ingredients into a colander; let drain well. Pour the sauce mixture over the vegetable mixture. Refrigerate overnight or a day ahead of time. This will keep for a week in the refrigerator.
