Vegetable marinade
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- green pepper, diced - 1 c
- white vinegar - 3/4 c
- coarse ground pepper - 3/4 tsp
- medium jar pimento - 1 item
- can white corn Shoe Peg - 1 oz
- can drained French-style green beans - 1 item
- can drained tiny baby peas - 1 item
How to make vegetable marinade:
Marinade:1 Tbsp. water1/2 c. vegetable oil3/4 c. white vinegar1 c. sugar1 tsp. salt3/4 tsp. coarse ground pepper Bring marinade ingredients to a boil, stirring, and cool.Mix vegetables together; pour cooled marinade over vegetables and refrigerate about 4 hours before serving.
