Vegetable cheese chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- boiling water - 2 c
- pepper - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chopped carrots - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- parsley - 1 Tbsp
- chicken bouillon cubes - 3 item
- chopped potatoes - 1 c
- grated Monterey Jack - 1/2 c
How to make vegetable cheese chowder:
In large pan, combine boiling water with bouillon cubes. Then add vegetables and butter. Bring to boil; reduce and simmer until vegetables are tender. Combine milk and flour in blender until smooth. Add to cooked vegetables and cook 3 minutes. Add cheese, stirring until melted. Add parsley and pepper. Serves 4.Seafood can be added after cheese is melted, if you wish.
