Veal marsala
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- minced onion - 2 Tbsp
- minced garlic - 1 tsp
- mushrooms - 1/2 lb
- veal - 1 lb
- brown stock - 1/3 c
- Marsala - 1/2 c
- each: butter and olive oil - 2 Tbsp
How to make veal marsala:
Cut veal in small pieces. Flatten with a mallet to tenderize. Dredge in flour with salt and pepper added. Saute in frying pan in butter and oil. Remove to plate.Add 2 more tablespoons of butter to pan. Add mushrooms, onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer to the dish with veal.
Add Marsala, brown stock and lemon juice to the pan. Bring to a boil. Return veal and mushrooms to pan and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve on bed of noodles. Serves 4.
