Vanilla wafers

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2/3 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 1/3 c
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• baking powder
• egg - 1 item
• sifted flour
• lard - 1/3 c

How to make vanilla wafers:

Cream lard. Add sugar, salt and vanilla. Cream until fluffy; add egg. Beat well. Sift flour with baking powder. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Drop from teaspoon 2-inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in hot 400° oven about 10 minutes.
