- eggs - 6 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flaked coconut - 1 (3
- butter or oleo - 3/4 c
- box vanilla wafers, rolled - 1 oz
How to make vanilla wafer cake:
Crush or roll wafers (very fine), add coconut. Mix well and set aside. Work butter with spoon until soft; gradually add sugar, beat until fluffy. Add eggs (one at a time, beat after each). Beat until light and fluffy, add alternately with crumbs and coconut mixture, mixing well after each addition of milk. Beat until blended. Fold in nuts. Turn onto a well-greased 10-inch tube pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325° or until done. Allow cake to cool thoroughly before removing from pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Christmas.
