Ingredients/Components

  • cream cheese - 1 (8
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • milk - 3 Tbsp
  • coconut - 2 c
  • cocoa - 2 Tbsp
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • box German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
  • Icing Optional:1/2 stick butter

How to make upside-down german chocolate cake:

Icing (Optional):1/2 stick butter2 Tbsp. cocoa3 Tbsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla1/2 box powdered sugar Spread coconut in 9 x 13 ungreased pan. Spread nuts on top of coconut. Prepare mix by directions on box and pour on top. Soften 1 stick butter and beat in cream cheese and box of powdered sugar; will be very thick. Spread on cake mix and bake at 350° for 1 hour or until done.

Icing: Boil butter, cocoa and milk; after it reaches boiling point, add vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat well.
