Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- pkg - 1 oz
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- oil - 1 c
- flaked coconut - 1 c
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- margarine
- box yellow cake mix - 1 item
- can fruit cocktail, including juice - 1 oz
- grated, flaked coconut
How to make ugly duckling cake:
Glaze:1/2 c. margarine1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. evaporated milk1 1/2 c. grated, flaked coconut Blend all ingredients, then beat 4 minutes at medium speed. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup brown sugar and chopped nuts. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes or until cake springs back when touched.Glaze: Combine 1/2 cup margarine, sugar and milk in pan. Boil 2 minutes. Stir in 1 1/2 cups coconut. While mixture is hot, pour over cake.
