  • pepper
  • chili powder
  • ground beef
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • large green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • can kidney beans, drained and rinsed - 1 item
  • can Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed - 1 item
  • sliced green onions, shredded Cheddar cheese and sour cream for garnish - 1 item

How to make two-bean chili:

In a 6-quart Dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook beef, green pepper, onion, chili powder and pepper until beef is browned and vegetables are tender, stirring to separate meat. Spoon off fat. Add tomato juice, kidney beans and Great Northern beans. Heat to a boiling. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 20 minutes to blend flavors, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with green onions and cheese. Top with sour cream, if desired.
