Ingredients/Components
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- chocolate chips - 1 c
- melted butter - 3/4 c
- box German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
- nuts pecans - 2 c
- bag caramels - 1 item
How to make turtle cake:
Prepare cake mix according to directions. Pour 1/2 of batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 15 minutes. While baking, melt caramels with milk and butter in saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. When cake has baked 15 minutes, pour caramel mixture over cake. Sprinkle with 1 cup nuts and 1 cup chocolate chips. Cover with remaining batter. Sprinkle with remaining nuts and bake for 20 minutes longer.
