Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • butter - 3/4 c
  • water - 3 Tbsp
  • cocoa - 1/4 c
  • chocolate chips - 1 c
  • light corn syrup
  • pecans - 1 c
  • Pet milk - 1/2 c
  • box German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
  • powdered white sugar - 1 c

How to make turtle cake:

Chocolate Glaze:1 Tbsp. light corn syrup1/4 c. cocoa3 Tbsp. water2 Tbsp. butter1 c. powdered white sugar1 tsp. vanilla Cake: Prepare cake mix according to box directions. Put 1/2 of mixture into a 9 x 13-inch buttered and floured pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Melt butter, caramels and milk over low heat. Pour evenly over baked portion of cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over this. Pour remaining cake mix over this. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until done.

Chocolate Glaze: Heat the first 4 ingredients until thickens. Remove from heat. Mix until smooth. Add the powdered white sugar and the vanilla. Mix well and spread on cake.
