Ingredients/Components
- German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
- butter - 1/2 c
- water
- oil - 1/2 c
- can Eagle Brand milk - 14 oz
- pecans - 1 c
- caramels - 1 lb
- chocolate chips - 6 oz
- cocoa
- powdered sugar - 1 lb
- milk - 6 Tbsp
How to make turtle cake:
Icing:3 Tbsp. cocoa1/2 c. butter1 lb. powdered sugar6 Tbsp. milk Cake: Mix butter, water, oil and 1/2 can Eagle Brand milk. Pour 1/2 of batter in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.Melt caramels and the rest of the Eagle Brand milk in microwave. Pour over the 1/2 baked cake layer. Sprinkle nuts and chips over top of caramel mix. Pour rest of cake batter on top of caramel mix. Bake until done. Let cool. Spread icing on top.
Icing: Combine cocoa, butter, powdered sugar and milk.
