Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- evaporated milk - 2/3 c
- stick melted oleo - 1 item
- box German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
- nuts and chocolate chips - 1 item
How to make turtle cake:
Mix cake as directed on box. Add 1/3 cup evaporated milk and oleo. Put half mixture in greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk. Spread on hot cake. Spread nuts and chocolate chips on top of this. Pour rest of batter on top of this. Bake 20 to 25 minutes longer. Needs no icing.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Southern u.s..
