Turkey barley soup
Ingredients/Components
- water - 7 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped fresh parsley - 1/4 c
- sliced fresh mushrooms - 2 c
- frozen peas - 3/4 c
- cooked, cubed turkey - 1 lb
- sliced carrots - 1 c
- sliced celery - 1 c
- ground pepper - 1/2 tsp
- uncooked barley - 2/3 c
- crushed thyme - 1/2 tsp
How to make turkey barley soup:
Combine all ingredients except peas. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add peas and simmer 5 more minutes. Contains 150 calories per cup.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Poultry, Turkey.
