Tunnel of fudge cake
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 6 item
- granulated sugar
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- vanilla extract - 1 Tbsp
- cocoa - 1/4 c
- confectioners sugar - 2 c
- all-purpose flour
- chopped walnuts - 2 c
- cocoa powder - 3/4 c
- 3 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
How to make tunnel of fudge cake:
Glaze:3/4 c. confectioners sugar1/4 c. cocoa2 Tbsp. milk1 Tbsp. vanilla extract Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. In a large bowl, cream butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer at low speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in confectioners sugar; set aside. Combine flour, cocoa and walnuts in another large bowl and fold into batter. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour, then cool in pan on wire rack for 1 hour. Invert onto platter; cool completely.Glaze: In small bowl, blend all ingredients until smooth; spread on cake.
