Ingredients/Components

  • medium noodles 3 1/2 c - 6 oz
  • mayonnaise - 1/2 c
  • chopped onion - 1/3 c
  • chopped pimiento - 1/4 c
  • can cream of celery soup - 1 item
  • shredded sharp process cheese - 1 c
  • can tuna - 1 7
  • sliced celery - 1 c
  • diced green pepper - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • slivered almonds, toasted or potato chips, crumbled - 1/2 c

How to make tuna noodle casserole:

Cook noodles in boiling salted water until tender; drain. Combine noodles, drained tuna, mayonnaise, vegetables and salt. Blend soup and milk. Heat through; add cheese. Heat and stir until cheese melts. Add to noodle mixture. Turn into a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Top with almonds. Bake at 425° for about 25 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
