Ingredients/Components

  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • basil - 1/2 tsp
  • black pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • cans tuna, drained and flaked - 2 oz
  • Nabisco cracker meal - 1 item
  • stack pack crackers - 1 item
  • can cream of mushroom soup can substitute other cream soups - 1 1/2
  • to 8 1-inch cubes American cheese optional - 6 item

How to make tuna croquettes:

Mix first 6 ingredients. Chill. Shape in 6 to 8 croquettes, shaping each around a cube of cheese. Roll in cracker meal. Saute in about 1-inch of hot fat until browned on all sides.
