Ingredients/Components

  • each cans chunk style tuna - 2 1/2
  • 3 c - 6 oz
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • sliced green onions - 1/2 c
  • sour cream - 1/2 c
  • mustard - 2 tsp
  • mayonnaise - 1/2 c
  • dried thyme leaves - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 1/2
  • small zucchini, scrubbed and sliced - 1 item
  • shredded Monterey Jack cheese - 1 c
  • medium tomato, chopped - 1 item

How to make tuna casserole:

Drain and flake tuna. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain; rinse in hot water. Combine tuna, celery and onions. Blend in the sour cream, mustard, mayonnaise, thyme and salt. Spoon half of the mixture into a buttered 2-quart casserole. Top with half of the zucchini. Repeat layers. Top with cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped tomato.
