Tuna casserole
Ingredients/Components
- each cans chunk style tuna - 2 1/2
- 3 c - 6 oz
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- sliced green onions - 1/2 c
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- mustard - 2 tsp
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- dried thyme leaves - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 1/2
- small zucchini, scrubbed and sliced - 1 item
- shredded Monterey Jack cheese - 1 c
- medium tomato, chopped - 1 item
How to make tuna casserole:
Drain and flake tuna. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain; rinse in hot water. Combine tuna, celery and onions. Blend in the sour cream, mustard, mayonnaise, thyme and salt. Spoon half of the mixture into a buttered 2-quart casserole. Top with half of the zucchini. Repeat layers. Top with cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
