Tropical trifle



  • milk - 1 item
  • grated orange peel - 1 Tbsp
  • kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced - 2 item
  • strawberries, sliced - 1 c
  • can pineapple chunks in juice - 1 oz
  • container whipped topping, thawed - 1 (4
  • pound cake - 1 item
  • vanilla instant pudding and pie filling - 1 serving)

How to make tropical trifle:

Cut cake into cubes. Prepare pudding and pie filling as directed on package. Fold orange peel and half of whipped topping into pudding.

Place one-third of cake cubes in large, clear, glass bowl, if possible. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons reserved pineapple juice. Spread one-third pudding mixture over cake cubes. Top with one-third of pineapple, strawberries and kiwi fruit. Repeat twice. Spread remaining whipped topping over top. Cover. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
