Triple chocolate biscotti
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- flour
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking powder
- unsweetened cocoa - 1/2 c
- creme de cacao - 2 Tbsp
- egg yolk - 1 item
- egg white - 1 item
- mini chocolate chips - 1/2 c
- chopped, toasted Macadamia nuts - 1/2 c
- coarse sugar - 2 Tbsp
How to make triple chocolate biscotti:
Beat butter, 1 cup sugar, baking powder and 1/8 teaspoon salt until combined. Beat in 2 eggs, 1 egg yolk and creme de cacao, then add cocoa, flour, chocolate pieces and nuts. Divide dough in half. Shape into an 11-inch roll and flatten to 2-inches in width.Combine 1 egg white and 1 teaspoon water. Brush loaves and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons coarse sugar. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes. Cut each loaf into 1/2-inch slices. Lay down on cookie sheet. Broil on each side until lightly brown. Makes 36.
