Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cooking oil - 1 item
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chili powder - 1 2
- salsa - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- grated Cheddar cheese
- chopped green onions - 1 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- can chopped green chilies - 1 oz
- olives - 1 item
- large tomatoes, chopped - 2 item
- small head lettuce, shredded - 1 item
- 10 inch flour tortillas - 6 item
How to make tostada salad:
In skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic until brown. Drain well; add chili powder, salt and chilies. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. In heavy skillet, heat 1/4 inch oil. Fry tortillas one at a time. Drain on paper towels. Place tortillas on plates; divide ingredients equally. Layer in following order: Beef mixture, tomato, lettuce and cheese.
