  • cans chicken broth - 3 3/4
  • tortilla chips - 1 item
  • onion powder - 2 tsp
  • dried thyme - 1 tsp
  • picante sauce - 1/2 c
  • shredded cheese - 1 item
  • frozen whole kernel corn - 1 (10
  • turkey bacon, diced - 1/4 lb
  • ground comino - 2 tsp
  • assorted vegetables such as celery, carrots, zucchini, red pepper, cauliflower, cut bite sized - 4 c

How to make tortilla soup:

In Dutch oven, brown chicken and bacon about 5 minutes or until fully cooked. Add broth and seasonings; bring to boil. Add vegetables and picante sauce; simmer 5 minutes, covered, or until vegetables are tender-crisp. Ladle into bowls and sprinkle with cheese and tortilla chips. Makes 6 servings.
