Tortilla chip casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 c
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- Monterey Jack cheese, shredded - 3/4 lb
- tortilla chips, crushed - 8 oz
- bottle taco sauce - 1 oz
- cans chopped green chiles - 2 oz
- hamburg * - 2 lb
How to make tortilla chip casserole:
Brown hamburg, onion and garlic over high heat, stirring. Drain fat. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in sour cream, taco sauce and tomato paste. Heat completely.Cover bottom of a 9 x 13-inch dish with half of the tortilla chips. Spoon hamburg mixture over chips. Top with remaining chips. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
*Use ground turkey, if desired.
