Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- melted fat - 1/2 c
- each: salt, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg - 1 tsp
- dates small dice - 1 c
How to make tomato soup cake:
Icing:1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 tsp. vanilla1 c. powdered sugar Preheat oven to 350°. Sift dry ingredients, add soup, fat, dates and nuts. Bake in greased loaf pan for 1 hour to 1 1/4 hours. Test with straw. You may use two small loaf pans and adjust time accordingly.To ice, mix cream cheese with powdered sugar until creamy. Add vanilla. Spread on cooled cake.
