  • water - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • can tomato soup - 1 item
  • each: cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • vanilla, maple or lemon - 1 tsp

How to make tomato soup cake:

Non-Sweet Frosting:1 c. milk1/4 c. flour Cream together first 11 ingredients; in separate bowl, cream together remaining ingredients. Beat both mixtures together for 5 minutes. Bake at 350°. Cook frosting ingredients until thick; cool and frost.
