Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 3/4 tsp
- soda - 3/4 tsp
- chopped dates - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- powdered sugar - 2 c
- cream - 2 Tbsp
- nuts, chopped - 3/4 c
- cloves - 3/4 tsp
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- Cream Cheese Frosting following - 1 item
- Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with the soup
How to make tomato soup cake:
Cream butter and sugar well; add beaten whole egg. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with the soup. Add chopped nuts and dates, which have been floured lightly. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool and frost.Cream Cheese Frosting:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese2 c. powdered sugar2 Tbsp. cream1 tsp. vanilla Cream ingredients well.
