Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- can tomato soup - 1 1/2
- raisins or chopped dates
How to make tomato soup cake:
Optional:1 c. raisins or chopped dates1 c. chopped nuts Sift together dry ingredients. Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Alternately add dry ingredients and soup to creamed mixture, beating thoroughly after each addition. Raisins, dates and/or nuts may be added. Pour into greased loaf pan.
