Tomato sauce for pasta
Ingredients/Components
- cloves garlic, chopped - 6 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- cans whole or diced tomatoes Pastene - 3 oz
- water - 1/2 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- basil - 1 tsp
- oregano - 1 tsp
- freshly ground pepper - 1 item
How to make tomato sauce for pasta:
Saute garlic and then onion. Add tomatoes. Add water and spices. Bring to boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 1 hour.One-half cup equals one serving of veggies; serve with pasta, one-half cup pasta equals serving of starch.
