Ingredients/Components
- tomatoes - 1 lb
- water - 2 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- sugar - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1 tsp
- milk - 3 Tbsp
How to make tomato sauce:
Cut the tomatoes into four pieces and cook in slightly salted water until soft. Prepare a light roux from butter and flour, thinned with water. Put tomatoes through a sieve and add to roux. Season to taste. Bring to a boil. If sauce is too thick then thin with a few tablespoons of milk.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Tomato.
