  • tomatoes - 1 lb
  • water - 2 c
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • butter - 3 Tbsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • milk - 3 Tbsp

How to make tomato sauce:

Cut the tomatoes into four pieces and cook in slightly salted water until soft. Prepare a light roux from butter and flour, thinned with water. Put tomatoes through a sieve and add to roux. Season to taste. Bring to a boil. If sauce is too thick then thin with a few tablespoons of milk.
