  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • basil - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped green onions - 2 Tbsp
  • chives - 1/2 tsp
  • fresh mushrooms, sliced - 1 lb
  • mayo - 1 c
  • Cheddar cheese sharp
  • fresh tomatoes 2 large or comparable small, sliced 1/4-inch

How to make tomato pie:

Topping:1 c. Cheddar cheese (sharp)1 c. mayo Bake pie shell until golden brown. Slice tomatoes and place on paper towels to drain (very important to get out extra liquid). After liquid seems removed, layer 1/4-inch slices of tomatoes, mushrooms and salt and pepper to taste. Then sprinkle with basil, chives and onions. Repeat layers until finished with all ingredients. Top with cheese and mayo mixed. Spread on top of pie, covering completely. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
